Turbulent Blues is a collection of paintings connected by their use of blue. While created at different times and for different reasons, they share an interest in layered surfaces and the expressive possibilities of the color. Working with oil and cold wax on panel, the works are developed through successive layers that are partially scraped away, allowing earlier marks and decisions to remain visible. Click on an image and use the arrow to move to the next image.
